It’s All About Connection

When you boil it down, — the ‘job’ of a dancer is to CONNECT. The jumps, turns, reaches, pops, shuffles and ALL THE OTHER technical movements we use are there to communicate the story or feeling to our audience. Part of the training is learning how to leave our limitations and inhibitions at the door so that we can bring our full, beautiful, and powerful selves to every moment, every movement, every time we step on the floor.

The Connection Dance Project experience aims to help students identify the obstacles, both mental and physical, that are preventing them from reaching their true potential. Our instructors provide tools and technique, coupled with personal experiences and stories from the professional stage and beyond to help young dancers overcome and level up!

Learn. build. connect.

Here at CDP we want to take the classroom experience back to the days before social media. We replace the ‘water break phone check’ with a Training Journal (which all students receive at the beginning of the first day) with a series of prompts aimed to help dancers document and better remember their experience. Phones away all day. No camera’s in the classroom (we save those for the end-of-day showcase). Minimizing distraction for maximum presence!
